Become a Guru. Do you have a special skill that others will pay for? There are places on the the Internet that are always searching for stay at home writers. A person with skills involving using a computer or special knowledge of a program like Photoshop or Quickbooks can find lucrative job offers. Freelance writers are also desired. In order to locate these jobs, just search in the Services section of Craigslist or visit the Marketplace section of DigitalPoint forums or Sitepoint forums. A lot of people are earning a good income providing their skills that no one else can do.
