Are Your Goals Aligned With Your Values?

Have you ever known someone who would do anything to get what he wanted or to get where he wanted to be? You’ve watched that person be dishonest and take advantage of others to achieve his goal. They say anything and promise everything to get to the top and grab the brass ring.

It may sound like we’re talking about politicians and unfortunately this is true of many of them. But actually, these characteristics are evident in many of those we come in contact with every day in our business and personal life. It’s unbelievable how many people are gullible enough to be drawn in to their web of deceit. These people sacrifice their values to reach their goals.

It’s said that if you want to be successful, if you want to lead, then align your values with your goals. If what’s important to you in your daily living can help you reach your objectives then you’re on your way to the top. Values and goals must complement each other for you to be effective.

But, if you struggle with anxiety and unhappiness as you strive for your aspirations then reaching them may not give you inner peace and happiness even if you’re successful. Don’t act like who you’re not to become someone you won’t like once you get there. If you don’t like yourself then no one else will either.

Define your goals. Of course, there are many types of goals and you must decide which is most important to you and your family. Most people when asked to define their goals first think of their career and monetary achievement.

This may include material possessions and social standing in the community. These could coincide with personal and spiritual goals as you climb the mountain of life. Aspire to strike a balance in all these qualities of life.

Define your values. What do you stand for? Is it courage, honesty, dedication, generosity, thoughtfulness, tolerance, loyalty? What drives you each day to get out of bed and do what you have to do? It could be love of family and God. It could be the thought of possessing power and money. Or, you could just feel peace in helping others achieve their goals.

If you’re to be happy in your career and personal life you must align your values and goals. You could fake it until you make it, but unless these are your true values it would be a hollow victory. Be true to yourself, work hard each day and you’ll become the person you deserve to be.

Who do you admire? It could be a famous person who exhibits the values you’d like to possess. There are many notable politicians, clergy, actors and athletes who live the quality of life you admire. Not necessarily their money but their character. Aspire to be like them.

The person you admire and wish to imitate could also be a personal friend or a family member. Ask them what motivates their lives and how they aligned their values with their goals. If you’re properly aligned with the values and goals of your life, you’ll never regret where you are and where you will end.

Mindset And Marketing? The Secret Behind Success

Mindset and Marketing – One does not go without the other.

80% of your efforts produce 20% of the results. You maybe have heard this already. But did you know that 80% is mindset, and 20% is mechanics? Yes, that’s true. We sometimes may not be aware of it, but if you pay attention to this, and observe yourself for a while, you will find out very soon how true this is.

Why is that? Very simple. You know how powerful and effective you are when you are in a great mood. You also know how hard it is to get things done at times you don’t feel to well. We all know that. So why don’t we think about that fact when setting up something as big as a whole business? Marketing covers the mechanics. Yes, you will have to learn how marketing works. You will have to understand it properly enough to create your own strategies that you then put into action. You will grow and start to outsource this tasks, as the time will soon come that you will not be able to complete every single manual task within your own 24h of a day. But this is all “mechanics”. Once you know what your strategy is, all that needs to be done is execute it. But to know what you want the idea comes in the first place. Before anything ever gets even planned, you need to know WHAT it is that you want, what is your outcome, what is it you want to achieve, and why do you want it after all?

So back to the roots of your business creation. The foundation of your rock solid business is a rock solid vision of how you want your business to look like. And even before of this we have the real initial step. The WHY. Why is it you want all of this after all,  what is driving you when you think about growing a lucrative business and earning a ton of money? So several things come in the first place, and this is the mindset part of the game.

Life is a mind-game. All you ever do is a decision based on your mindset. This goes deeper, your decisions and mindset are depending of your values. But I will not go into that right here, this would cover an other full chapter. What I want to emphasize here is the awareness of the fact how mindset rules and controls everything. Everything is based on the way you think. And this is why mindset is so important.

The best marketing strategies, and the best team around you will not be much of a help if you do not nurture your winner mindset deep inside. In this is very important especially if you want to go into business, where long lasting commitment and persistence is essential. Because even with the highest motivation, at times there will be obstacles, and that might hit you hard from time to time. So what! Now the winner mindset comes into play. Stand up and fight! It is not important how often you stumble. What counts is how often you stand up and move ahead. This is the belief in yourself and strong belief in your vision.

“It is not a failure until you quit” (I forgot whose quote that is…). So doing things “wrong” does not mean they were not right, it just means they need some tweaks and improvement as to meet requirements to bring the aimed outcome. Re-doing things as often as needed is not failure, it is constant improvement. It is only failure if you quit.

So from today on I highly suggest you cancel 2 words from your mental dictionary for ever: Failure and quit. They do not exist any more. “Failure is not even an option”.  Success is the only option.

Now we are already in the middle of the HOW to get a success mindset. All you need to do is constantly drive your awareness in the right direction. If you do this all over again it becomes a habit. A habit of a highly successful person is to focus on what is beneficiary for you, not the contrary. You have a choice. You always have a choice! At every given moment you can choose how you want to feel, by choosing what you want to think.

So like in the example above, if you consider every action that did not lead to an immediate result being a failure, you will quickly trigger yourself for being a loser. Now lets quickly blow that away!! yieeks!! When something does not work out as planned, ok, lessons learned. Be grateful for this experience, as it will save you going that path again, now that you know it does not work that way.  And then figure what part of it were ok and which not. Tweak what needs to be improved and move on! Stand up, acknowledge the learning process, feel richer and move on feeling empowered!

This is one main example of a success mind set. And this is exactly how you can train this way of thinking. By just doing it in all situations.

But here is the real secret behind this thinking. Here is the answer how to even get into the powerful position to get yourself thinking in that way. We mentioned it already. It is your WHY. With everything you start you should first be aware of the outcome. Paint it in your mind. Visualize. Make it feel colorful and real. Go into it and taste how it feels when you are in the middle of your picture surrounded with your results. This is your Vision. Adjust the details until it feels perfectly right. What would you add or take away. Whom do you see, whom do you hear, what do you see, what do you hear in your goal-picture. That is you vision and it is only a vision if you have the perception of a strong passionate feeling inside you. This is what creates DESIRE. And desire is unlocked potential. This is what you need to feel before doing anything big, especially going into business.

When you have painted that picture of your bright future, envisioning yourself in the middle of success, and paint in your mind exactly what success mans for you, and what the money you may want to earn is good for, when you are clear about that, this is pure power. That is the Vision that will be driving you day in day out.  Vision is a picture filled with emotion, passion, a clear purpose,  and strong feeling of desire to achieve it! This is the Goal-Achiever-Fuel. When you have this, you are  unbeatable! This is your driving force. To empower this be clear on your why? Ask yourself questions like: What is the purpose behind my vision? Why do I want to achieve it? What will it bring be? How will I feel when I have it? How will it effect my environment when I achieve it? And when all of answers are a perfect match and in harmony, you will realize how strong the feeling inside starts to be. Now you need to picture your vision every day. This will remind you of your Why. This will keep you on track. This will make you stand up in case you stumble. This feeling of desire will keep you motivated and hungry to move forward for more.  And with this mindset you will realize you become almost unable of thinking about not achieving your realist. See how this collides? It is almost impossible to feel your passion and desire without wanting feeling the energy to jump over every wall, and overcome all obstacles that may come in your way. This passionate desire and daily awareness of your Why is a magic fuel that blows all the rest away.

That is the secret behind your success. And that is how you maintain your winner-minded. Focus on your purpose.
